3% Cover the Fee

  • Donations to our alternative educational organization, “We Are Built Different Foundation Inc.” fund current initiatives and future envisions like:

    Youth Diversion Programs: Our alternative education organizations agendas are focused on redirecting students from the school suspension program and the juvenile justice system into the community or support services that help them remain in school.

    Holistic Support Services: Providing integrated services for students, including mental health support and proper referrals for resources, mentorship, and student advocacy.

    Policy Reform and Advocacy:Working with parents and students to change school policies that disproportionately affect the marginalized group of youth we aim to serve.

    Educational Resources: Offering tools and resources to students, parents, and educators to implement more proactive/ restorative practices to reduce reliance on suspensions and expulsions.

    Teen Shelters and Homelessness Support: Offering resources such as basic needs, referrals to housing, DCF if it applies, counseling and therapy, continuance with educational support and regular school attendance.
